Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Flash Point Auto Diagnostics collects through the website, remote inspection app, in-person inspections, diagnostics, and select light repair services. Last updated July 14, 2026.
What we collect
We collect the information needed to create and reopen inspection reports, schedule appointments, perform diagnostics, provide customer support, and document service history. This can include contact details, vehicle details, appointment notes, vehicle photos, checklist answers, diagnostic codes, generated report content, signatures, payment records, and purchase-validation records tied to a report unlock.
If you use the app as a guest, some inspection state may stay only on that device until you connect an account.
How we use information
We use submitted photos and inspection inputs to generate buyer-focused vehicle reports, estimate visible-condition risk, reopen saved inspections, validate paid report unlocks, schedule in-person service, prepare diagnostics or repairs, and diagnose support issues.
We also log inspection, appointment, payment, intake, and purchase events so we can troubleshoot failed uploads, report-generation errors, unlock problems, appointment questions, and customer service requests.
How information is shared
We use service providers that help operate the website, app, scheduling, email, hosting, authentication, storage, payment, and billing-validation infrastructure. We do not sell your personal information.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users, process payments, coordinate service, or enforce the rules around paid report access, appointment payment, and fraud prevention.
Security and storage
We use reasonable technical and operational safeguards to protect submitted inspection data, appointment records, intake signatures, service notes, and account-linked report access. No internet service can be guaranteed fully secure, but we limit access to the systems needed to operate the business.
If a support or service issue requires review, we may inspect report, appointment, intake, payment, and purchase event records associated with the affected account, vehicle, booking, or inspection.
Account and purchase recovery
Paid report access is tied to the account used before unlock. Signing back into that same account is how saved reports are reopened across reinstalls or device changes.
Guest-only drafts may not transfer across devices until an account is attached.
Data retention
We keep inspection, appointment, intake, service, and purchase records for as long as needed to operate the business, reopen saved reports, support customers, handle billing questions, document completed work, and maintain fraud and abuse protections.
If you want to ask about account-linked or appointment-linked data, contact support with the email address used in the app or booking request.
Children's privacy
Flash Point Auto Diagnostics is intended for vehicle owners, drivers, and used-car buyers and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information through the website or app, contact support so we can review the request.
Policy changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. When that happens, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised last-updated date.
