Terms of Service

Terms of Service

These terms govern use of Flash Point Auto Diagnostics, including the remote inspection app, in-person inspections, diagnostics, and select light repair services. By using the website, app, or services, you agree to these terms. Last updated July 14, 2026.

Service scope

Flash Point Auto Diagnostics provides remote buyer-focused inspection tools, in-person pre-purchase inspections, diagnostic services, and select light mobile repairs when the job is practical for on-site service.

Remote reports are generated from submitted photos and checklist inputs. In-person inspections, diagnostics, and repairs are limited to the access, conditions, time, tools, and information available during the appointment.

User responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the photos, diagnostic codes, and other information you submit. Poor, incomplete, or misleading evidence can reduce report quality.

For in-person appointments, you are responsible for providing safe access to the vehicle, accurate vehicle and location details, permission for the requested work, and disclosure of known safety concerns, prior repairs, or special conditions.

You agree not to misuse the service, interfere with report unlocking, attempt to reuse payment transactions across multiple inspections, or request work you are not authorized to approve.

Payments

Remote inspection reports may require a one-time paid unlock for an individual generated report. In-person inspections, diagnostics, and repairs may require payment before service starts, at completion, or by another written agreement.

To protect reopening, purchase recovery, and billing records, you may be required to sign in before payment. Transaction reuse, refund abuse, chargeback abuse, or fraudulent unlock attempts may lead to access restrictions or cancellation of service.

Reports, diagnostics, and limitations

Reports are generated from the photos, checklist answers, and diagnostic information provided by the user. Results are only as reliable as the evidence submitted and may be limited by missing angles, lighting, photo quality, or issues not visible in photos.

In-person inspections and diagnostics can identify many visible or testable concerns, but no inspection or diagnostic visit can guarantee that every hidden, intermittent, future, or inaccessible issue will be found.

You remain responsible for your own buying, repair, and maintenance decisions, including whether to obtain additional shop testing, teardown, specialty diagnosis, or seller documentation before purchase.

Repairs and parts

Light mobile repairs are offered only when the work is practical for the appointment conditions and technician judgment. Some jobs may require a shop, lift, specialty equipment, programming, additional parts, or referral to another provider.

Repair outcomes can be affected by vehicle condition, prior work, hidden damage, aftermarket parts, corrosion, electrical faults, and unavailable parts information. Additional diagnosis or repair recommendations may follow after initial work.

Refunds and support

Refund eligibility for app-store purchases is governed by Apple or Google for the platform where the purchase occurred. Web payments, in-person services, diagnostics, and repairs are reviewed based on the appointment record, payment method, work performed, and applicable law.

Changes to the service

No warranty

The website, app, reports, inspections, diagnostics, recommendations, and repair services are provided on an as-is basis to the maximum extent allowed by law. We do not promise that every report, inspection, diagnosis, or repair visit will detect or resolve every issue.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Flash Point Auto Diagnostics is not liable for vehicle purchase decisions, undiscovered defects, seller conduct, declined repairs, future failures, intermittent conditions, or losses that result from relying on incomplete evidence or skipping additional testing where appropriate.
